Who is brutalister

Brutalister portrait

Call him Brutalister.
In the chiaroscuro of his works, in his imagined landscapes, his name and identity hold no importance. Wandering through the shadows of modernist architecture, brutalism, and minimalism, Brutalister explores the intricacies of his art, imagined during long nocturnal walks through European cities.

Born on European soil, Brutalister refuses to anchor himself to a homeland, defining himself as a universal citizen. His works, a reflection of liberated thought, break free from physical or creative boundaries. According to him, an artist must wander between techniques, experiment, and make mistakes. It is by persevering in the darkness that he can glimpse a glimmer of light amid the shadows.

Art, he declares, has been his salvation. Brutalister found his creative path only later in life. Yet, he can spend days and nights tirelessly working on the forms, shadows, and textures that compose his creations.

Secretive and introverted, Brutalister kept his creations to himself for years. It was through a few encouraging words from friends and a chance encounter with a Berlin gallery owner that he found the courage to share his art.

However, Brutalister remains aloof from the spotlight. He prefers to let his creations speak for him and retreats into the shadows. There, his powerful and eloquent works speak to those willing to listen. Be attentive, for they whisper universal urban tales.
